At it's current state Xerberus is fully functional. However as the gaming industry grows more games emerge with their own needs. We will soon have the need to build integrations with game platforms to offer an even better way of retrieving match scores, displaying results etc.
We also have a lot of things we want to improve with the core and other features. We are now looking for developers who are willing to share their free time to bring this project forward. At the moment we are non-profit group of experienced, professional, developers who don't have enough free time to complete every feature we want to. We do this to improve the industry by providing a platform and service so that event and tournament organizers can focus on more important things.
We are looking for anyone with skills in web development. Our code base is built using MVC architecture which consist of a PHP and MySQL back-end, with basic HTML+(S)CSS+jQuery front-end, using Twig as a front-end template syntax. We leverage open source libraries and try to build creative solutions to many of the features we build.
All ideas are welcome and this project is great if you want to try out something new you're interested in. Basically we need people for development in all areas of the platform:
- UI\UX development
- Front-end development
- Back-end development (tournaments and other features)
- API development
We will provide you with guidance and instructions. We have version control, we do agile software development, we write tests for our code and we review each line. This is a great learning opportunity for any beginner to learn proper web platform development.
We do hope that you have atleast some degree of knowledge of atleast a few of the following areas:
We use Slack as a communication platform between developers. Please send an email at email@example.com if you are interested in participating in this project.
